SightLife is the largest provider of corneal tissue in the United States and has the ability to meet almost 100% of scheduled surgery needs of our surgeons, seven days a week. We have highly trained technicians that have performed hundreds of IEK tissue processing procedures.
SightLife and IntraLase have developed the methodology to precision cut corneas to deal with a variety of corneal injuries and diseases. The tissue will be custom prepared at SightLife's laboratories to meet the specific needs of patients.
Though all surgeries and all patients are unique, our research, testing, and validation indicate that IntraLase Enabled Keratoplasty with our Custom Corneal Tissue may promote these improved results over traditional cornea surgery:
Custom Corneal Tissue can be prepared in a variety of sizes and configurations based upon the requesting corneal surgeon's specifications. All tissue is processed to exacting standards set by SightLife and within regulations established by the FDA and the Eye Bank Association of America.

In addition to these tissue shapes, SightLife can cut the tissue to a custom shape. Surgeons will need to identify their Custom Corneal Tissue pre-set specification. Alignment marks for ease of suturing can be added to the tissue, these can be standard or customized.
SightLife performs a thorough post-cut slit-lamp and specular microscopy of the tissue, the results of which are provided to the surgeon.
