General Elected Director

Jacalyn Lindstrom, Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist, joined the Board in 2013. She is a copy editor of Ocular Surgery News (OSN) International and Domestic. OSN reaches over 82,000 ophthalmologists worldwide every month.

In the fall of 2012, Lindstrom was elected by voters to serve as council member for the City of Minnetonka Beach for four years.

Jaci recently retired from her position as Executive Director of the International Intra-Ocular Implant Club (IIIC). The IIIC’s purposes are to promote research, allow for free and unhindered exchange of ideas, provide an international forum to improve understanding and promote implantation surgery in the field of intraocular lens implantation.

She was also Executive Director of the International Society of Refractive Surgery/American Academy of Ophthalmology. Jaci has 17 years of work experience in clinical examination, teaching, and research in private, hospital, and university settings.

Her Board service includes the Ophthalmic Women Leaders professional association, which she co-founded and has over 500 members worldwide, and is past director of the Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology as well as various other organizations.

Jaci has been the recipient of Founders and Outstanding Achievement awards from various organizations with which she has been associated. She has a mini MBA in Healthcare Management from the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota. Her interests are tennis, reading, and a love of art. Jaci resides with her husband and their two children in Wayzata, Minnesota.
